I build mobile apps
and the AI tools
my whole org uses.

I'm Omar Mansour, a senior mobile engineer with 10+ years in Android, now shipping iOS, backend and web too. AI didn't just make me a better mobile engineer. It made me a broader one.

01 · The AI layer

I don't just use AI. I ship it to my whole org.

At Perk I design and ship internal AI Skills built with Claude Code. Nobody mandated them. They spread because they work. What exactly do they do? That's the part I save for the interview.

What managers and teammates say.

Straight from LinkedIn recommendations: managers, product leads and teammates across two unicorns.

“If there's one engineer I'd want on any team, it's him.”
4 years working togetherOLOliver ListHis manager for 1+ year, then colleague · Perk

I've had the chance to work with Omar for 4 years at Perk — as his manager for more than a year, and now as a colleague after I moved roles.

Omar is one of the most well-rounded mobile engineers I've worked with. His depth in Android is obvious in the quality of his technical decisions, but what really sets him apart is how he works with everyone around him. He has a rare ability to communicate clearly across teams and domains — translating complex technical topics for non-technical stakeholders, aligning iOS, Android, and backend approaches, and making sure decisions are documented and followed through on. That's a big part of why he earned his promotion to Senior Engineer while reporting to me — it was thoroughly deserved.

He also has a product engineering mindset that I really value: he doesn't just implement what's asked, he finds creative, unconventional solutions and isn't afraid to think outside the box when a problem calls for it. A few things I always saw from him: he takes real ownership, whether that's driving a key feature for the squad or jumping into cross-squad initiatives. He's the person who follows up, closes loops, and keeps stakeholders in the loop without being asked twice. And he does all of this while staying easy and genuinely enjoyable to work with.

Any team would be lucky to have Omar. Highly recommend.

“The level of commitment and ownership he has brought is highly commendable. Proactive, result-oriented, technically sound and highly dependable.”
